Located
on India's Eastern coast, Orissa is blessed with enchanting

HERE |
| The gateway to
Orissa is Bhubaneswar. The city is linked by several airlines
to Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
Bhubaneswar is also an important railhead for the South Eastern
Railway. There are convenient rail links to Bhubaneswar from
Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Puri. Roads connect
Bhubaneswar to almost every part of the country. OTDC has bus
services to every town, city and tourist destination inside
the state. Some important distances from Bhubaneswar are Kolkata
(500 kms), Puri (60 kms), Satpada (110 kms), Konark (65 kms),
Gopalpur-on-Sea (185 kms), Cuttack (30 kms) and Chilka Lake
(110 kms). |

TO SEE |
Bhubaneswar
The state capital is a perfect blend of the past and present.
It is dotted with very beautiful ancient temples and amazing
monuments, at the same time offering the very best in accommodation
and entertainment. Nearby tourist attractions are Dhauli, Sisupalgarh,
Hirapur, Atri and Nandankanan.
Puri
This abode of Lord Jagannath is also famous for its beautiful
beach. While at Puri, one can also visit Balighai, Brahmagiri,
Satyabadi, Baliharachandi, Raghurajpur and Satapada.
Konark
Famous for the Sun Temple, this small and very peaceful hamlet
plays host to a huge number of visitors who are spell bound
by the size of the temple as well as the beauty of the exotic

Chilka
Asia's largest brackish water lake is famous for the wide variety
of birds that come here during the winter.
Cuttack
Called the 'Millennium City', Cuttack is an important urban
hub of the state of Orissa. While in Cuttack, one can see Ansupa,
Bhattarika, Chhatia, Chandikhol, Choudwar, Dhabaleswar, Jajpur,
Kendrapara, Naraj, Niali-Madhava, Paradeep, Patharajpur, Ratnagiri,
Lalitgiri and Udayagiri.
Rourkela
The Steel City of Orissa has many attractions like Vedavyas,
Junagarh, Rajgangpur, Pitamahal, Ushakothi, Mandira Dam, Khandadhar,
Darjeeng and Ghogar. |
